God is still speaking...to and through our congregation!
We cordially invite you come join us! We welcome you and wish you peace.
Our worship, Communion, Sunday School, pastoral care and all aspects of the life at this church are open to all.
St. John's United Church of Christ — in the midst of our 137th year — is a congregation steeped in the rich heritage of tradition and emerced in the strength of serving a living and ever present God.
We are, for all practical purposes, a diverse family, united in a common bond of faith and mission. We gladly welcome those from all walks of life, wherever you may be along the path in your faith journey...you are welcome here!
Our Mission Statement
...is simple: Serving God by welcoming all.
Our Purpose Statement
St. John's United Church of Christ of Brighton shares the vision and embraces the rich heritage of its ancestors in faith. With the help of the Lord, the Pastor and congregation, St. John's builds on this foundation and acts as a catalyst for communication, cooperation, healing and growth in the community and around the world. Our doors are open to the diversity of God's children. We welcome them with open arms and hearts, and journey with each other toward the light of God's love. We persevere in our quest to be faithful stewards in our words and in our actions. We withstand the storms of a turbulent world so that we may one day be as one.

Prayer of Welcome
Friend, you enter this church, not as a stranger but as a guest of God, your Heavenly Father. Come then, with joy in your heart and thanks on your lips into God's presence, offering your love and service. Be greatful for the strong and loyal men and women who, in the name of Jesus Christ, built this place of worship and to all who love this home of faith as the inspiration of their labor, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit - and may that blessing be upon you, both on your going out and your coming in.
