There are ample opportunities for members and friends of St. John's to commune together in fellowship while supporting the many missions of this church. We believe that God has bestowed upon each of us unique talents and gifts and calls upon us to use them in His service to the best of our ability. Below is a listing of our Ministry Teams and a brief description of each.

Administrative Team

Comprised of one designated member from each of our various Ministry Teams and two Members at Large, the Administrative Team serves as the guiding body of our congregation. Members of the Administrative Team are nominated and elected to their positions by the congregation.

Building & Grounds

The Building & Grounds Team is dedicated to the general upkeep and maintenance of the church buildings and grounds. Ever diligent, they present items of concern and suggestions for improvements to the Administrative Team and the congregation.

Christian Ed

Our Christian Ed Team is responsible for organizing and delivering a wonderful array of Christian Education opportunities that are always fresh, always stimulating and ever enjoyable for folks of all ages.

Finance Team

The analytically blessed of our congregation, the Finance Team presents an annual budget to the congregation for approval, and then does their best to see that we stick to it.

Loyal Daughters

Conceived to meet the needs of women who work outside of the home and/or cannot attend the day time activities planned by Women's Fellowship, Loyal Daughters has evolved into a group which meets the needs of all women. Their monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise noted on the church calendar), when they plan various activities and mission goals.

Music Team

Adult Choir, lead by Rhonda Vonnahmen, meets for practice each Wednesday from late August until May at 7:30 p.m. Being able to read music is NOT a requirement to join the choir (nor is having "the voice of an angel" for that matter). We in the choir consider the sharing of our musical talents and gifts a part of our stewardship. It is our sincerest hope that the Lord will use our voices and the songs we choose as a means by which to add to our worship services and at times deliver a special message straight to your heart. We'd love to have you come join us!

Praise & Worship Team, lead by Kathi Kolosieke, meets for practice every Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. Unlike the Choir, the Praise & Worship Group does not perform...we lead the congregation in singing praises to our God. Being able to play an instrument or sing isn't necessarily a requirement to join us...part of our ministry it to share our talents by teaching others. What is required is a desire in your heart to lift God up in songs of worship. God doesn't care if your rhythm isn't exactly perfect, or if you sing slightly off key...what matters most to Him is what you're doing, not how well you're doing it. Come join us as we lift our voices in praise to an audience of One!

Children's Choir, lead by Roberta Wright, meets for practice all but the third Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. The children learn songs, and the lessons behind them as well as ocassional choreography to provide another layer of joy to our worship services.

Women's Fellowship

Originally called Der Fraunverein, our Women's Fellowship endures with a long history of steadfast stewardship both here at our local church and throughout the greater community. They gather together for a luncheon on the first Thursday of each month to share fellowship, plan their monthly workday, and the numerous activities which support their many mission projects.

Worship Team

The Worship Team, along with the Music Team and the Pastor, helps plan our weekly worship services and other special services throughout the year. We select music to accompany the weekly teachings, and occasionally throw in a few extra surprises to ensure things are never mundane. Please Note: the flying pigs were NOT our idea...at least not the first time around. Pastor Mike, does manage to come up with surprises all on his own. In fact, he's so good at it, he surprises us quite often too!
