Holy Communion The first Sunday of every month, and various other special days throughout the year, we celebrate Holy Communion. We serve "open" Communion. If you are welcome at The Lord's Table in another congregation, you are welcome at the table here. If this is your first experience in coming to know Christ through this sacrament, it is our privilege and honor to welcome you. If you have been denied the sacrament elsewhere because of something in your history, we invite you to know the forgiving and reconciling Christ through sharing of this holy meal in the midst of this church family. While some churches restrict participation in the sacrament to those who have been baptized into the faith, others see Communion as a possible moment of conversion, leading people to seek Baptism. We leave your participation up to your conscience and belief. Please see the pastor if you have any questions about your participation in the sacraments of Holy Communion or Baptism. |
